Kenneth Sanchez Appointed to "Making It in Maryland" Manufacturing Workgroup

The Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland (RMI) has appointed CSP President Kenneth Sanchez to the Transforming Manufacturing in a Digital Economy Workgroup, known as "Making It in Maryland."

Created by companion bills SB444 and HB658, which took effect July 1, 2021, the workgroup will recommend how Maryland can help manufacturers adopt technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, 5G and quantum computing. RMI led the effort to pass the legislation.

Sanchez is one of five industry representatives appointed by RMI, alongside leaders from Stanley Black & Decker, Volvo Group Trucks, Catalent Cell & Gene Therapy and Food Opportunity, LLC. State legislators and agency officials round out the group.
