CSP Receives the 2020 President's "E" Award for Exports
Chesapeake Specialty Products was one of 28 U.S. companies to receive the President’s “E” Award for Exports in 2020, the highest recognition a U.S. entity can earn for contributing to the growth of American exports. Established by President Kennedy in 1961, the award requires a sustained increase in export sales over four years.
In the award document, then-Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross wrote that CSP “has demonstrated a sustained commitment to export expansion.” The selection committee singled out the company’s use of trade shows for market research and new market entry, and its work to make every product export-ready.
“The world’s leading corporations have long relied on our innovative products, but it’s nice to receive the recognition for how we have helped to create and keep jobs here in the USA and Maryland,” said Kenneth Sanchez, president and CEO of Chesapeake Specialty Products.
Foundries worldwide use CSP’s SphereOX® sand additives to prevent casting defects, and its METgrit® and METgrain abrasives clean critical infrastructure such as bridges and water towers.
