NASBITE International Names Chesapeake Specialty Products an Outstanding Exporter
NASBITE International named Chesapeake Specialty Products an Outstanding Exporter at the Tenth Annual National Small Business Exporter Summit on October 28, 2026. The award recognizes U.S. small businesses for excellence in export growth and innovative approaches to international sales. CSP was nominated by the Center for Global Business at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.
From facilities in Baltimore and South Korea, CSP turns iron and steel products into METgrit® metallic abrasives, SphereOX® foundry sand additives and other high-performance materials. Its customers span the Americas, Europe and Asia, and its top export markets from the U.S. are Mexico, Canada, Chile and Poland.

The honor adds to CSP’s export record, which includes the President’s “E” Award for Exports (2020) and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2022 Maryland Small Business Exporter of the Year award.
